My coaching is a reflection of who I am as a person. I enjoy leadership and taking control of situations. My philosophy is to be a proactive team, controlling the 4 moments of the game. Developing core values that are reflected in my teams and leadership style. My underlying belief is that the ball is the most important part of the game. My Game Model revolves around keeping the ball, or winning it back-ensuring opponents are always under pressure. My vision is driven by the continual pursuit of excellence. Simply winning big competitions is not enough. Creating a winning environment each day is what drives me to success. Developing expectations is the foundation of my winning vision. This vision must be acted out through humility and courage. The desire to win everything all the time drives me to model this attitude and provide players with a foundation that they want to win everything all the time as well.
The word development seems to always bring up the discussion. Simply for me, it means getting better. I believe without any question every player can get better, which means development never stops. I see each component of a player's development as interrelated. None of them can exist on their own. Each component will grow at different rates, but the goal with the correct development plan is to ensure periods through the players' careers that all components will converge at the same level or near the same level all at once. This creates periods of performance where players will see an increased ability to compete at higher levels. Once this happens, a player must continue to push to evaluate their ability so that level of performance will become their baseline ability level.
